I am loving the retro inspired patterns and the happy mix of colors from Australian based artists Kristina and Jason. The designs remind me mid-century modern vintage art, kind of that atomic 50's look. You can purchase their prints here.

Vintage Decorating: 10 Vintage Film Posters For Your Apartment
For chic and affordable artwork for your apartment, opt for vintage movie posters. There's something quite fantastic about the art and style of the 1960s, (mostly French films), but you could also go for campy movie posters or cult classics. The larger the poster, the better, they're perfect for open loft living or boxy white rooms.
Where to Buy: All the posters here are available at Film Art Gallery (for ORIGINAL posters) or you can purchase NEW versions at Movie Goods
Le Maison de Poupées: Fashion + Art Inspiration from "Paper Dolls"
There's a new trend on Polyvore that I've sort of obsessed with. Can I make paper doll into a verb please? "Paper-dolling" is splicing, cutting, trimming, and pasting different images to create a look on Polyvore.
This brings back so many fond memories of drawing my own paper dolls and designing them little outfits as well as cutting and pasting inspiration collages. There are HUNDREDS of these darling "dolls" on Polyvore, so check the links below for more! Artist Spotlight: Oh My Cavalier! Artwork by Julianna Swaney
There is something sweet and folkloric about Julianna Swaney's drawings and paintings. I love how the girls wear simple blue and brown frocks. I love the birds, the bunny rabbits, the foxes... and I am dying over the mechanical animal paper dolls available in her shop. I'll take one please!

Landslagið er fallegt, Art inspired by Iceland's landscape by Tom Edwards
The cut & paste look of these works are simply charming to me. I love the colors, the shapes, and the concept. It's a bit whimsical & very clean.

Lovely & Whimsical Vintage Girls by Caitlin Shearer
I first spotted Caitlin Shearer's artwork via the Swedish magazine "Magnificent" (MagMag #3) and was instantly smitten by her soft and willowy vintage girls. Her pretty little ladies wear such pretty little things. I'm in love, love I tell you!

Lovely Find of the Day: Bird Hoop Art from PragyaK
Whimsical collection of three one of a kind art hoops with bird motif. Made using paper strips, thread and white 100% cotton fabric stretched on a wooden embroidery hoop. Wouldn't these look lovely in the kitchen or perhaps to brighten a child's room or a little nook?

Such Lovely Green, St. Patrick's Day Inspirations
Happy St. Patrick's Day! And to celebrate this very green-centric holiday, I am posting images themed around the color with a vintage twist, of course :)

Romantic Wedding + Prom Hairstyle Inspirations
I love soft and romantic hairstyles for weddings, especially those inspired by the Pre-Raphaelite paintings of John William Waterhouse. (A few of his paintings are below for hairstyle inspiration). I hate seeing stiff updos or when curls are hairsprayed to death so they resemble wood shavings. (LOL!) I will need to find a tutorial for the braided bun look. I've tried mimicking the style on myself without much success.
