Shabby Chic Vintage Home Inspirations

When I first caught glimpse of these shabby chic vintage interiors my heart did flutter. Not only did the house have old bones, but the vintage clothes, the sparkling jewels, and the collection of vintage Wolf dress forms next to that antique armoire... oh goodness, if this isn't shabby chic vintage heaven, I don't know what is.


I dream one day to have a workspace that could be as beautiful as this and as inspiring. I always wanted to live in a home where people felt the urge to poke around and peek at the beautiful things I've curated over the years. I want everything in my home to tell a story, particularly a fairy tale.

I often wish I had my little own space to do all my work and these lovely vintage inspired home offices have got me a bit green with envy! So inspiring!


I love that mix of modern meets industrial meets vintage. When I say vintage, I usually refer to a more feminine look and not just something that is older. And for industrial, to me it is more masculine. Maybe I can say I like very androgynous rooms?

One of the reasons I love going to antique malls so much is to add to my collection of vintage kitchen knick knacks. I particularly love floral plates, porcelain tea cups and saucers, and vintage tea towels.

The Vintage Home | Lauren McGrath's First Apartment in the City

What a fantastic first apartment! Lots of bright white throughout punched up with slate blue, poppy pinks, and sunny yellow. I love that her apartment is traditional (with (an antique table turned into a vanity, the striped love seat that is very reminiscent of a Jane Austen novel...) mixed with a trifle of contemporary touches (the lucite bench at the vanity, the IKEA shelf, the leaf print curtains).

The Vintage Home | Susan + William Brinson's Amazing Loft

The loft owned by art director (She) and commercial photographer (Him) is one of my favorites I've seen in awhile. There are so many ideas I want to incorporate into our own apartment. The trunks at the end of the bed (extra storage!) and that amazing lightbulb chandelier. That's a show stopper if I ever did see one!
