New Shop to Love: Totokaelo

totokaelo-1 totokaelo

So obsessed with this new shop I've discovered! The styling and color palette at TOTOKAELO is perfect winter wardrobe inspiration! What I love most is that most of their pieces are such classic pieces every woman should have in their wardrobe! *taking note*

The prices are definitely higher for basic clothing (dresses in the $200+ price range), some cardgans boast a price tag of $650 (yikes!). But you can grab similar pieces at Zara, H&M, and even vintage or second hand shops (such as Adorevintage!)

Pretty Little Things: The most darling lingerie you ever did see from Naomilingerie

Every lady deserves pretty little things for her boudoir. Naomi Lingerie is based out of Japan and all of the undergarments are handmade. I especially love the super cute "kitty" sleep masks. You can view her { vintage lingerie collection } to see where some of her design inspirations come from.

"There are certainly not so many men
of large fortune in the world,
as there are pretty women
to deserve them."
- Jane Austen

Lovely Find of the Day: Bird Hoop Art from PragyaK

Whimsical collection of three one of a kind art hoops with bird motif. Made using paper strips, thread and white 100% cotton fabric stretched on a wooden embroidery hoop. Wouldn't these look lovely in the kitchen or perhaps to brighten a child's room or a little nook?

Ooo... not a floral print in sight!

The "Oh So Pretty!" Blouse Post

Silk georgette, floral printed chiffons, lace and flounce... I adore it all! I especially love the blouses with ruffled peplums, so sweet! If you are looking for vintage inspired blouses in modern day shops be sure to look for dainty details such as tiny buttons, pintucks, panels of lace details and pleated ruffles (very Victorian).

Interior Inspiration: A Feminine Vintage Inspired Vanity

Most little girls want a vanity table in their room. I certainly was no exception and to this day, I still want a pretty little corner in the bedroom that is just my own where I can display shiny baubles and have a vase of fresh pink peonies.

Currently Loving: "Love" Ceramics by Ninainvorm

Be still my heart for I have fallen head over heels in love with these cuter than cute, charming than charm ceramic plates and dishes by Nina of Ninainvorm. I love the designs on them, it reminds me a little of vintage children's book illustrations from the 50s and 60s.

They're so cheery and fun, I really must have a few of these! These would make darling little Valentine's gifts, don't you think?

Prices range from about $20-$70

Adoring the lovely designs by Nadia Izruna of Nadinoo

The clothes have a vintage inspired feel, some of them remind me of vintage Cacharel, a little Biba-esque, and a touch of David Hamilton.

Get the Look: Delysia Lafosse's Glamourous 1940s Apartment

If you have not seen "Miss Pettigrew Lives for a Day" starring Amy Adams and Frances McDormand, please go see it! The movie is quite cute and Amy Adams as Delysia Lafosse is charming and loveable even if she is on the prissy materialistic side.

Delysia's apartment is extremely glamorous and very posh. I love all the icy cool tones and the quilted wall behind her bed. Her house has a lot of mirrors and items that reflect light. Also love the chinoiserie wallpaper.

To get the same 1940s glamour look in your own home choose icy cool colors such as silver and blue. Fabrics should be luxe and soft (silks, high thread count cotton). Add accessories that reflect a lot of light such as chandeliers, mirrored tables, or silver picture frames. Here are some ideas to get you started.
