Dita Von Teese looking lovely even without her signature red lipstick

I saw these Dita Von Teese candid photos over at { the Fashionspot } and fell in love with her simple and oh-so-chic outfit. The low scoop neck blouse has the tiniest polka dots, I love tiny polka dots! The reason I adore this look so much is because it is so very wearable.

Some things Dita wears I love so much but I don't have the confidence to wear them...ok it might also be because I don't OWN anything as amazing as her vintage collection...but if I did...there IS only one Dita Von Teese.

Zooey Deschanel Wears Vintage Dresses on Stage

A few pictures of Zooey Deschanel in the cutest vintage dresses! She has wonderful stage style, don't you think? I bet Zooey's closet is full of 50s party dresses and playful 60s minis. I also feel she chooses silhouettes that really compliment her coloring and figure.

I don't think I spotted any vintage gowns at the Oscars this year, but there were plenty of vintage diamonds on the red carpet.


1.} British actress Carey Mulligan, the Best Actress nominee wore a stunning pair of 19th century cascading diamond earrings from Fred Leighton.
2.} Presenter Elizabeth Banks also wore a vintage Fred Leighton - an understated diamond headband.
3.} Julianne Moore wore 2 diamond and platinum Bulgari (circa 1930) - from their historical archives collection.


4.} Vera Farmiga wore a pair of 1920s diamond clip earrings vintage Fred Leighton and a 1960's diamond cluster cocktail ring.
5.} Sarah Jessica Parker wore 19th century diamond cluster earrings.
6.} Maggie Gyllenhaal's bracelet is a Fred Leighton 1940's diamond cluster statement bracelet.


7.} Charlize Theron wearing a vintage marquise diamond wave bracelet by Harry Winston.
8.} Jennifer Lopez wore vintage Cartier diamond clip earrings circa 1934.
9.} Meryl Streep wore a magnificent Fred Leighton Art Deco diamond and oynx bracelet teamed with a silver purse.

Leighton Meester Chanels the 1920s

I love this outfit Leighton Meester wore on the set of "Gossip Girl". While I'm not a watcher of the show, I do love many of the vintage inspired outfits Blair Waldorf wears. I adore the cream coat and the grey cloche, that is probably my favorite part of this outfit. (click on pic for full size)

Alexa Chung Style

Yesterday I started doing a little more work on the revamp of "The LookBook", the older version is still up, but it's kind of just half done because I kept changing my mind on the design... you can see it here

So...the first celebrity style gallery I am working on is Alexa Chung! I was cropping and editing photos last night...then our entire neighborhood lost power. BUMMER. Because I didn't get to save much. ARG. Anyhow, here are just a few Alexa Chung photos for some style inspiration.

BTW, is anyone else a fan of her show on MTV "It's On With Alexa Chung"? I recently (as in 2 days ago) started watching it now that we have TiVo and the first show I watch the guest was Gerard Butler... who hit on her. *hehe*

Style Icon: Anna Karina

Anna Karina's rise to fame is very much a Cinderella story. She moved to Paris without a penny to her name or knowing any French at the age of 17. She was approached by a rep from an ad agency while sitting at a cafe who asked if she would like to do some photos. This lead to a successful modeling career then later she appeared in movies, sang songs, and lived happily ever after.
