What Audrey Hepburn Wore to the 1967 Oscars

Nominated for "Best Actress in Leading Role" at the 1967 Academy Awards for "Wait Until Dark", Audrey Hepburn always dazzled at the Oscars with her classic and feminine style.

Although she didn't bring home the coveted golden statue (the award went to the other Hepburn, Katherine), Audrey Hepburn looked impeccable in her Oscar ensemble.

At the 1967 Academy Awards, Audrey Hepburn wore a two piece ensemble designed by Gubert De Givenchy.

It consisted of a sparkling vest with white flower embellishments that allowed a peek at Audrey Hepburn's navel. A giant white bow tied at the vest that was decorative enough so Audrey could forego a necklace. The vest was accompanied by a long, floor grazing white skirt that was very slim in cut.

Just a day, an ordinary day in a vintage girl's world...

"Let's face it, a nice creamy chocolate cake does a lot for a lot of people; it does for me." - Audrey Hepburn

"Don't fuss, dear; get on with it." - Audrey Hepburn

"I've always had a passion for the outdoors, for trees, for birds and flowers." - Audrey Hepburn

An Interview with Audrey Hepburn

I found this on YouTube and wanted to share. Gosh, I really hate the person interviewing her, it seems like he wants to put in her in a negative light and always interrupts her! BUT, please do watch because Audrey Hepburn is so enchanting and I love how she talks.

At 3:01, how she says "Times" and at 3:09 how she says "Now"...I love it!

The loveliest woman in the world, Audrey Hepburn

Today I visited Audrey Hepburn's star on the Hollywood "Walk of Fame" and I was like a little kid in a candy shop, smiling ear to ear. To think, I was standing where the beautiful Audrey Hepburn once stood!

So for today, I am posting a series of beautiful Audrey Hepburn photos that are not often seen.

BTW, Audrey Hepburn's star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame is on Hollywood and Vine ^_^

The Mean Reds

Holly Golightly: You know those days when you get the mean reds?
Paul Varjak: The mean reds, you mean like the blues?
Holly Golightly: No. The blues are because you're getting fat and maybe it's been raining too long, you're just sad that's all. The mean reds are horrible. Suddenly you're afraid and you don't know what you're afraid of. Do you ever get that feeling?
Paul Varjak: Sure.
Holly Golightly: Well, when I get it the only thing that does any good is to jump in a cab and go to Tiffany's. Calms me down right away.

Well, it's Monday and this seemed quite fitting as I am having quite a rough start to my week.

But I must remember, it isn't the end of the world, the sun will shine again, and I just need to do what I can do today and keep at it tomorrow.

Holly Golightly had Tiffany's. And I have Audrey Hepburn. ^_^ Somehow when I imagine how would Audrey handle this, I think "with poise, grace, and calm" and I regain a bit of composure.

What's Inspiring My Fall Wardrobe

I feel like I've really stepped out of my element lately, and in a good way. Usually I am a fanatic for anything bright, boldly patterned, and to be a honest, a bit on the fussy mussy side.

But for Autumn, my inspirations are coming from men inspired clothing, preppy stripes, and soft clean lines.

Audrey Hepburn at a Cafe

I have never seen these photos before of Audrey Hepburn and had to share. She was truly such a beautiful woman and I wish I embodied a little more of her simple grace and elegance.

Audrey Hepburn in Sabrina

I just found this on YouTube and thought you might want to watch it too! It's the whole movie "Sabrina" divided in different parts... enjoy! And it's subtitled in case some parts of the sound are a bit hard to hear.

You can view all the other parts here: View More Videos. Many thanks to Creeper1981 for uploading the videos!
